"It's OK to be a glowstick; sometimes we need to break before we shine."
This quote really spoke to me today as I was trying to come up with a clever blog post to share.
But it is true in a way, I feel like the heartache, the incredibly painful days, memories that we go through get us to right where we need to be. Honestly, 10 years ago I would have never thought that I would be President of my own 501(c)(3) recognized charitable foundation, but now that I am here, this is exactly where I am meant to be. Addison must have known that my heart was too big to keep to myself, so all the trials over the years have formed friendships that will last a lifetime, and a purpose to better other peoples lives, that are going through the heartache's, and the incredibly painful days.
Last June, was the most heartbreaking time in my life, I didn't think I would look back on it and be able to appreciate that we had to go through it and there would be brighter days. Starting this foundation and watching the impact it has on others has been amazing!
Most recently we were able to share a smile and some laughs with some of the amazing people that have helped us along the way.
